OUR VALUES

OUR VALUES AT FPS

Just like life can be hard, deals can be difficult -- and sometimes excruciatingly so.

There are moments of elation, triumph and joy. There also are moments of disappointment and even panic.

Deals are a microcosm of life.

In order to accomplish our Mission in the proper and right way, and to be most proud of what we do, we abide by the following precepts.

While life and deal making can toss you some surprises, the following are the virtues that you surely can steadfastly depend upon from FPS as your M&A advisor.

Accordingly, as we aim to offer our services, these crucial tenets of our firm that comprise our own TEN COMMANDMENTS will always be top of mind:

  1. To always be honest, open and forthcoming, trustworthy and dependable—whether it be good news or otherwise, we will be upfront and candid with our clients and their advisors; we will sleep well at night because when we retire for the day, we will know that we will have done the right things in the right ways

  2. To recognize that each deal and each client is unique and we will plan to align our efforts on behalf of each client in a most appropriately customized manner

  3. To perform our services with humility, understanding and great passion and with the highest integrity

  4. To be good listeners and observers and to ask the right questions before offering any answers

  5. To be attentive to all realities in what we do and to never seek to overpromise or offer assurances that we have no business making

  6. To be a patient counselor, teacher and advocate and to treat all parties with respect and dignity, just as if each were my mother or my father

  7. To be good natured and fair to all parties, to be easy to work — as deals are difficult enough — and to live by the golden rule and treat each client and other party as we would expect to be treated ourselves

  8. To be relentless in our prioritized pursuit of our client’s best transactional goals

  9. To be a believer in the possibilities for our clients even as we are straightforward with them in our guidance and shared thoughts

  10. To be alert and conscientious to safeguarding the business interests of our clients in all our transactional efforts and to always be mindful of our obligations to our clients and do our best to fully honor and discharge them
